May Fair Hotel to join Radisson Collection
  • Radisson Hotel Group announces that May Fair Hotel, an iconic London property has become the first in England to join the collection of its world-class hotels. The hotel is set up to deliver an exceptional guest experience with everything impeccable, from unbeatable location to culinary flair to luxurious wellness facilities. With 37 luxury suites and more than 400 rooms, the May Fair Hotel has one of the largest and most diverse selections of guestroom. It comprises 11 state-of-the-art meeting and event spaces, a serene spa and gym, a kitchen showcasing the best of Spanish and Italian small plates, and an award-winning bar offering a phenomenal cocktail list.

Virgin Atlantic to join Air France KLM's Bluebiz SME rewards programme Virgin Atlantic has now become a part of Bluebiz, a rewards programme for small and medium-sized enterprises that also includes KLM, Air France, Delta and Kenya Airways. The scheme will offer SME customers increased opportunities to earn and spend credits across more airlines, routes and reward options. Business travellers will earn blue credits which are worth £1 on taking every flight on bluebiz member airlines; and the credits can be used for future flights, even covering taxes and surcharges. The airline will close its existing SME programme Flying Co on July 1, and the flights booked before the date will still earn Flying Co miles.

Iberia, Finnair join Oneworld's Multi-Airline Digital Platform
  • Iberia and Finnair, members of the Oneworld airline alliance, are to join the alliance's new digital platform which will allow seamless connectivity to travellers taking multi-sector, multi-airline flights using their preferred member airline's mobile app or website, without having to download any additional app. Oneworld revealed at the IATA's annual meeting held recently in Seoul that it is also working to incorporate baggage tracking, full seat selection and additional baggage payment to the digital platform. Back in January, Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways became the first member airlines to link up in this way, allowing their passengers to use app and/or website of either airline to check-in and receive boarding passes for their connecting flights on either airline.
Belfast International Airport opens a brand new departure lounge
  • Belfast International Airport has recently opened their newly revamped departure lounge "Northern Quarter" that comprises two brand new restaurants. The four innovative food and beverage outlets including Coca Diablo Mexican Cantina and the famous all-Ireland brand Freshly Chopped are set to make this Belfast International Airport lounge a huge hit with the passengers. There will also be a refreshed Fed & Watered unit offering delicious food with locally sourced produce and the all new 24 feet, 360 degree bar.
Emirates celebrates inaugural daily flight to London Stansted
  • Emirates inaugurated its new daily service from Dubai (DXB) to London Stansted (STN). The Emirates Boeing 777-300ER that landed just before 1400hrs GMT on 08th June marked London Stansted as the 7th airport in the UK that hosts Emirates flights. With this service the number of daily flights between Dubai and three different London airports namely Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow becomes 10. The airline deployed its new three-class Boeing 777-300ER on the route offering state-of-the-art, fully-enclosed private First Class suites that take luxury to the next level with floor to ceiling sliding doors and sleek design features. The aircraft also features refreshed Business and Economy Class cabins. Besides, passengers will have upgraded in-flight entertainment systems in all cabins.

Savini Restaurant Milan
  • With its 151 years of history, Savini Milano 1867 is a Milanese institution like the "Duomo and La Scala Opera House". In the heart of Italy's oldest shopping centre – the opulent Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Milanese businessmen pop in to sip on a mid-morning cappuccino or for a quick lunch, while visitors passing through the Galleria stop by for a regenerating bite as they explore the city. The fine dining Restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the building, with an entrance from Via Ugo Foscolo. Its structure is developed over several rooms. The cuisine at Savini Milano 1867 reflects the restaurant's long heritage. The Executive Chef Giovanni Bon skilfully blends innovation and tradition while using modern techniques to prepare great Italian classics. He uses both low-temperature vacuum cooking and braising, a combination-cooking method that uses wet and dry heat. Chef Bon uses a splash of creativity in his dishes with a clear nod to Milanese culinary traditions.
