ANA to launch new first and business class on Tokyo-London route
  • All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest and 5-Star airline for seven consecutive years, has unveiled the new first and business-class seats that will roll out on twelve of its completely redesigned Boeing 777-300ER. The first redesigned aircraft will serve the Tokyo/Haneda-London route from August 2. Featuring first time on the Tokyo - London route, the new cabin products "THE Suite" and "THE Room" are inspired by Japanese heritage and Western design principles. The new cabin products took five years of design development and collaboration between Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and British designers Acumen. As per the airline, the new cabin designs include the world's largest 4K resolution monitor in First Class and an innovative new Business Class seat with private door and multifunctional lounging and dining capabilities.

Commercial flights resume at Carlisle Lake District airport Carlisle Lake District airport has on 04th July resumed commercial flights for the first time in more than 25 years. The services are offered by Loganair. The inaugural flight to Dublin Airport was launched following a blessing from The Archdeacon of Carlisle, The Venerable Lee Townend. The former RAF airfield, Carlisle Lake District airport is owned and operated by the Stobart Group and is working with Loganair to offer flights to and from Dublin, London Southend and Belfast City airports. The airport has been transformed and now features new runways and taxiways, a new terminal, cafe, additional car parking and an office complex. The addition of three new routes is seen as extremely beneficial and convenient for the business community as well as the tourists.

PremiAir - Manchester Airport’s private terminal
  • PremiAir, the new private terminal at the Manchester Airport offers a luxurious private jet experience to leisure and business travelers. Booking are open now and for select dates starting 11th November 2019 passengers flying with partner airlines can book the PremiAir service. With priority departures package passengers with hand luggage only can arrive just 60 minutes before departure and enjoy a personal welcome followed by a luxury transfer to the departure gate through a dedicated security channel. Premium departures package additionally allows access to an elegant lounge with impressive views of the runway, as well as complimentary food and drinks whilst their hold baggage is processed. Business travellers can also use state of the art professional spaces, making international business more convenient at Manchester Airport.
Delta announces addition of new business class to Heathrow routes
  • Delta Air Lines will soon roll out a retrofit of its Boeing 767-400s on several routes to London Heathrow with a new business class seat and international premium economy. In fact, the aircraft will for the first time bring together all four branded seat products namely Delta One (business), Delta Premium Select (premium economy), Delta Comfort+ (economy with a few perks) and Main Cabin (economy). The aircraft have initially been scheduled on select services between London Heathrow and Atlanta starting November 12. Services from New York JFK and Boston to Heathrow using the aircraft will begin from November 16 and November 20 respectively. The launch of Delta’s new business class seat which is more comfortable and offers increased privacy as well as the expansion of its international premium economy cabin targets several other new markets in Europe and South America.

British Airways announces move to Beijing Daxing British Airways has announced moving all direct flights to and from Heathrow and Beijing to new state-of-the-art Daxing airport starting 27 October 2019. The new Daxing airport offers a massive 52,000 square meter space available for retail, food and beverage and service. The facilities at Beijing Daxing for British Airways' passengers will include more than 300 shops and outlets, restaurants as well as access to a brand-new partner lounge for the eligible guests. Beijing Daxing is around 50km from both Beijing city centre and the Xiong'an New Area and 80km from Tianjin. The airport has wonderful connectivity with four new highways, two new subway lines and a high-speed railway. The only through check-in airport for foreign airlines in China will also greatly benefit customers transferring to other flights. BA operates a daily service on the London to Beijing route.

Air France-KLM and Accor partner for new enhanced loyalty program
  • Accor Group and the Air France-KLM Group recently announced broadening of their loyalty programs by offering a dual reward scheme for their entire global customer base. The two groups have linked their loyalty programs and every time a passenger travels on a flight marketed and operated by Air France and/or KLM, or stays a night at an Accor hotel, they will simultaneously earn both Flying Blue Miles and Le Club AccorHotels Reward points. The Miles+Points service requires members to link their two accounts on the website of Flying Blue Miles or Le Club AccorHotels. This innovative dual reward scheme is the first in the European travel industry. The scheme also offers customers more ways to redeem their points and miles.
TransPennine Express receives new train, Nova 1
  • TransPennine Express marks a major milestone for rail travel across the North and Scotland as it officially welcomed the first of its brand new Nova 1 trains on 5th July. The bullet-style Nova 1 is built by Hitachi Rail and financed by Angel Trains. The company will receive 19 five carriage Nova 1 trains significantly adding to its capacity. Each train will have 342 seats – an extra 161 compared to its current offering. Besides, the on-board experience for travellers is set to be completely transformed. TPE says it will start to phase-in the futuristic fleet into service on the route between Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, York, Newcastle, Morpeth and Edinburgh before the end of this year, as planned.

British Airways increases frequency on Mumbai-London route British Airways has announced ramping up its flight frequency on the London Heathrow-Mumbai route. The airline will add four additional flights to its current double daily schedule between the two cities from March 2020 increasing the weekly flights from 14 to 18. The daily flights will be operated by the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 aircraft with a four-cabin seating configuration. The airline currently operates 49 flights a week from five cities in India; and this increase will take this number from 49 to 56. These additional flights will offer a suitable choice of three flights a day from Mumbai to connect to the airline’s global network of more than 200 destinations.
